Welcome to Antarctic Logistics Centre International online.

In September 2001 the Antarctic Logistics Centre International instituted a fully operational shipping link between Cape Town and Antarctica. One of the best ice class vessels in the world provides specialised transport services for research personnel, cargo and supplies. As an associate of INTAARI, St Petersburg, specialists in polar logistics since 1989, ALCI accesses a broad base of experience and expertise in servicing Antarctic research stations.

ALCI now introduces a new service: a dedicated air bridge between Cape Town and Novolazarevskaya station, with internal air links to other stations.

YOU CAN FLY TO ANTARCTICA IN 6 HOURS

Aircraft specialised for polar services include:

To complement the above ALCI services, DROMLAN as an international co-operative, also provides a network of feeder flights from Novolazarevskaya to other stations.

2007/2008 ALCI FLIGHT SCHEDULE

"Antarctica was the scene of an inspiring display Sunday -- a total eclipse of the sun. It was the first to be witnessed by human eyes on the southern-most continent and also the first to be broadcast for television in high definition. The Japanese network NHK spent a year hauling seven tonnes of equipment to Antarctica, just so viewers around the world could view the eclipse live in HDTV. "
